Middle Mouse Button is a Windows 9x, ME, NT, 2K, XP application which intercepts the middle mouse button of a 3-button mouse and converts a single middle button click into a default button (normally the left button) double click. The ergonomics of this action are obvious; one click instead of two rapid clicks causes less wear and tear on both the mouse and the person using the mouse. 2 button mice may use the left/right chord to simulate a double click or a user configured command. On a 3 button mouse, any two buttons may be defined as a chord with user selected action including a popup launch menu. Drag Lock is supported for the Left and Right buttons.

Support for Windows Scripting for use with Middle Mouse Button is now available here. Future releases of Middle Mouse Button will contain integrated support for scripting, but for now you can install Microsoft's distribution files.
